I went to order my island countertop today and was told by the fabricator that I would have to buy the entire slab of Quartz. That would leave a 51"x54" piece on the side and fifteen inches along the bottom length. I'm not worried about the skinny fifteen inch piece but giving the fabricator a large square of my counter is upsetting to me. Is this the norm? I'm only doing the island countertop and have no use for it anywhere else at this point. My husband said we could take it and put it in our basement until we move in five years. That sounds crazy to me. Thoughts?
No, at Upstate Granite Solutions you buy the square footage of material you need for your project. The square foot price includes the material, fabrication, and installation of the material.
