The crucible is very large & holds quite a bit of material. It has a decent amount of weight to it when it is empty, so be prepared to lift it when it&#;s full of molten metals.
You can find a tool that will lift it from your foundry but it will cost $300+. Instead, do a YouTube search for foundry tong upgrade by the king of random. You can build your own for about $20 in parts.
Make sure you slow heat this crucible in your home oven. Start out at 200degrees, then when you reach temp, give it 15min, then increase to 300, then 400.
If you don&#;t do this, you risk the crucible exploding inside your foundry on its first use.
