Features of water filter pipe

The use of multi-layer sand control filter sleeves has high-efficiency sand control effect, which can well block formation sand and meet the needs of underground sand control. The filter water pipe has uniform filter holes, high resistance to clogging and permeability, large filtering area, low flow resistance, and high oil production. Stainless steel materials have excellent corrosion resistance, alkali resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and corrosion resistance, which can effectively meet the special requirements of oil wells and will not become larger due to corrosion. The multi-layer structure can be welded into a whole to make the filter hole more stable and more resistant to deformation.

What is the function of the water filter

In addition to water inflow, it can prevent particles of soil or rock around the well wall from flowing into the well and silting up the well pipe. At the same time, it also supports and protects the well wall, so that the pumping hole can be used normally. For some hard fissures and dissolution aquifers, the well wall is stable and has no loose fillings. It is not necessary to install water filter pipes when pumping water. For loose pore aquifers or broken bedrock aquifers, suitable water filter pipes must be installed. Cement gravel water filter pipes are also commonly used in agricultural water supply wells, and the brick-wood well walls of civilian wells are actually used to filter water and purify water resources. At the same time, in large-scale national projects, such as the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, the Olympic diving site-Water Cube, East-West transmission projects, etc., high-quality Lida water filters are used.

Four basic types of water filter pipes

1. Mesh filter pipe

If it contains ferrous oxide and calcium carbonate and other salts in the precipitated water, the porosity will be drastically reduced; at the same time, it can be corroded in corrosive water. According to survey data, tube wells with mesh filter tubes rarely have a service life of more than 10 years, and the water production is decreasing year by year.

2. Perforated water filter pipe

The perforated water filter pipe is formed by forming a certain geometric shape and a certain regular arrangement of water inlet holes on the well pipe. This kind of hanging water pipe can only be used directly in the aquifer above the coarse sand. Because of the different geometric shapes of the water inlet holes, they can be roughly divided into two types:

The round hole filter pipe is the oldest and simplest type in history. The perforations can be made in different ways according to different pipe materials. Generally, metal pipes and asbestos-cement pipes are mostly made by drilling or punching, while for concrete pipes, round holes can only be reserved during pouring. The size of the holes is mainly determined by the grain size of the aquifer. The arrangement of the water inlet holes on the pipe wall usually adopts a staggered plum shape. The mutual position of the water inlet holes can also be divided into two types: equirectangular triangle and equilateral triangle. After preliminarily selecting the horizontal and vertical hole spacing for the water inlet and outlet hole arrangement, the hole should be adjusted according to the required hole rate for different pipes, and finally adjusted so that the hole spacing is basically an integer to facilitate processing.

3. Gravel water filter pipe

Although gravel water filter pipe has many advantages over mesh type water filter pipe, it is more complicated to choose filler and its structure, requiring large-diameter holes, etc., so it is difficult to promote it in drilling engineering.

4. Bridge type water filter pipe

Bridge-type water filter pipes have been widely used in developed countries for a long time. They are engaged in hydrogeological exploration, drilling, sinking construction, reservoir dewatering, foundation deep excavation and dewatering, geothermal development and utilization, mineral water development and utilization, ground temperature air conditioning, broken well repair, underground water source Ground water and so on.

The bridge-type water filter pipe has many advantages over other types of water filter pipes due to its special perforation structure. It has the following advantages:

(1) The special structure of the bridge-shaped orifice makes the gravel not easy to block the orifice and has a high water passing capacity. According to a test conducted by the German Nord Company, the porosity of the traditional gravel-filled filter pipes should be reduced by 40%, while the bridge-type filter pipes should only be reduced by 10%;

(2) The special hole-shaped structure of the bridge water filter tube has the effect of enhancing the mechanical strength of the water filter tube, and has a high mechanical strength;

(3) The cost is low, and the cost is reduced by 20% due to the elimination of the bedding and wire winding process in the traditional water filter pipe manufacturing process. And save the time of drilling and winding;

(4) Different anti-corrosion coatings are plated according to user needs, which can increase the service life of the well;

(5) A variety of connection methods can be used, and the down tube operation is convenient;

(6) The gap of the bridge hole can be changed to be suitable for different sand and rock geology.

(7) The unique spiral structure design greatly increases the tensile strength and compressive strength of the pipe body.

Features, technical specifications, cutting drawings of uPVC cartridge filter housing 5×30:

What is uPVC cartridge filter housing 5×30?

The fine filter housing, also known as the cartridge filter housing, is a part of tubular filtration equipment that can be used in various industries. The fine filter is encased in a filter housing called a housing and is used to remove unwanted particles, contaminants, and chemicals from the liquid. The fine filter element comes into contact with the water, liquid or solvent to be filtered, the solution flows inside the housing and passes through the filter element.

How to classify fine filtration?

Based on how to retain filter residue, fine filters are divided into 2 types:

  • Surface filters
  • Depth filters

Surface filters

Surface fine filter prevents solids/contaminants from penetrating through the filter core. It traps them outside the filter element and keeps it on the surface until the filter is clogged and cleaned.

Surface fine filtration refers to the flow of liquid through a layer of material that restricts surface particles. The size of the surface fine filter slot is smaller than the average size of the particles to be filtered.

After a period of operation, the surface of the fine filter becomes fouled on the outside by particles, which increases resistance and will restrict flow beyond acceptable limits. Then, it is time for the filter surface to be cleaned and reused.

Surface fine filters are relatively cheaper and have a shorter shelf life. The mechanical durability of surface fine filters is poor (except for filters made of stainless steel or metal).

For example: Pleated paper filter, cellulose filter

Depth filters

The deep fine filter retains all dirt, sized pollutants and suspended solids in the environment. Depth filtration refers to a thicker/or multiple filter layer that creates a difficult path that obstructs particles and restricts their passage.

The size of the particles to be filtered is much smaller than the average pore size of the filter. Contaminants move through the deep fine filter and become trapped there, gradually the pores in the filter become clogged and must be cleaned using a backwash fluid flow or replaced with a new filter.

Compared with the surface fine filter, the deep fine filter is more expensive but it has a longer shelf life. The mechanical strength of deep fine filtration is  high

For example: Winded fiber filters, ceramic filters and powder compression filters (Sintered filters &#; metal)

What is the application of fine filtration?

Fine filtration is extremely widely used in water treatment and industrial production

  • Pre-filter water before entering the RO system and other membrane types (UF, Nano)
  • Large capacity industrial water filtration
  • Filtering swimming pool water (usually using surface filter core)
  • Oil removal and particle filtration in refineries and petrochemical plants
  • Liquid filtration in the food and beverage industry
  • Application in pharmaceuticals
  • Petroleum refinery and chemical plant
  • Filters inks, paints and special coatings
  • Electroplating filters chemicals
  • Cosmetics and personal care
  • Made in wine and fish sauce
  • Brew beer

How to clean industrial filter cores?

Industrial fine filters are widely used in industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, ink and paint, food and beverage, automobile manufacturing, cement industry, petroleum, oil refineries, petrochemical, etc. It is important to clean these filter cartridges to ensure that they filter consistently over a long period of time.

Industrial filter cores provided by Song Phung have high dirt holding capacity, are easy to install, clean and maintain. The fine filter element is sturdy, has a solid quality core and has well-formed layers, so cleaning and installing them is very easy.

Some filtration systems allow backwashing and have a CIP system design. But most have to be taken out of their shells, sterilized and washed. When not in use, these cleaned filter cartridges are dried and sealed or vacuumed to prevent contamination or wear.

When do you need to replace the fine filter core?

It&#;s important to know when to replace your filter cartridge. Fine filters may come with a general guideline suggesting the number of days it should operate &#; for example, once every 30 days or once every 45 days based on its ability to hold dirt. However, the number of days a filter lasts also depends on the contaminant concentration in the filtered liquid.

When your pressure differential reaches the preset value &#; say 10psi, you know that the filter element is clogged and needs to be replaced. Determining the pressure difference is simple by looking at the pressure gauge installed before and after the fine filter.
