Specifications

Aleono Cold Extrusion Rebar Coupler is the outright solution for connection with Ribbed Rebar. Made of high quality 20# carbon structural steel, the cold extrusion rebar coupler enjoys the high strength and it is able to connect reinforcing bars with the diameter of 16 to 40 mm. With no limitations on the type, composition, or weldability of steel bars, this rebar connector is widely used in bridge construction. It can meet with China standard of JGJ107-, UK standard of BS, USA standard of ACI318, VN standard of TCVN and other international standards. Aleono Cold Extrusion Rebar Coupler including Standard Cold Extrusion Coupler, and Transition Cold Extrusion Coupler .

Standard Cold Extrusion Coupler is designed to splice two ribbed reinforcing bars with the same diameter.  Firstly, the reinforcing bars to be connected are inserted into the cold extrusion coupler. Then, the coupler is squeezed by the clamp to deform plastically and connect tightly with the ribbed rebars.

Product Advantage

  1. Cold Extrusion Rebar Coupler is constructed of high strength machinery steel grade is 20 carbon steel.

  2. No special bar ends preparation needed.

  3. Most commonly used for connection in columns, beams, piles etc where rebar length are insufficient.

  4. Do not require the bars to be prepared, can be operated with light tools and require a minimal bar length.

  5. Quick and convenient operation to shorten construction period and lower cost.

  6. 100% ultimate tensile and yield strength of rebar.

  7. There is no open flame during the operation, which ensures high safety. The operation process is also eco-friendly, as there is no pollution caused.

  8. No threading at ends and no reduction of the cross section Ares of the bar.

  9. According to the inspection of National Construction Quality Supervision and Testing Center, the rebar coupler joint performance has reached the Grade I splicing rebar joint of JGJ107- and JG/T 163- Industry Standard.

WNS T40 Roller? anyone used? | MIG Welding Forum

On the Estate fencing I used to make the top bar used 16mm round and the lower bars were 25x6mm flat. The posts were 50x8mm flat with a 'rule shape' notched into the top.
I would bend the 6.1m lengths to match the curve of the fence line, then thread the posts on to the bars (this is with the posts and bars flat on the ground).
1 1/2" holes were drilled into the ground (grass on sandy soil) to match the post spacing and then the whole 6.1m section of posts and bars was stood up and the posts malleted into the holes. You can do it by yourself but it is definitely easier with two of you!
I used a heavy duty wood auger with an eye in the end to drill the holes in the ground (mostly stone free). But you could try a large masonary bit in an SDS drill.
The round bars were joined by welding short pieces of 16mm round with a 10mm hole bored through it to each end and then a 10mm round tenon was inserted and pinned at each joint.
The flat bars had an offset pressed into the last 75mm, like a long joggle, and then two holes drilled and countersunk to match similar holes at the other end of the flat. I then rivetted the flats together using soft aluminium rivets.
