We are renovating the master bathroom and wanted to buy brass colored faucets for sinks and walk in shower. What is are the most reliable brands? Kohler has a horrible wait time. Sales people want to sell me Newport brass and California Faucets but not sure of quality besides they are pricy. How about Delta, Brizo, Moen, and Pfister? Looking for something that I do not have to worry about for 10-15 years

There are lots of opinions around. For one thing, even though the brands we are talking about are national, various marketing factors result in some brands being found more than others depending on what part of the country you are in.
In the southwest and west, we certainly see a lot of PP. Not so much Kohler, although it is certainly available and is used. We also don't see so much Gerber or Central Brass, for example.
Some of us are perfectly happy with PP, and find Kohler to be a pain. Others will tell you the opposite.
The problem with "house" brands, such as GB, it can be hard to find technical information or support. GB, Gerber, Danze, et al, are all made by Globe Union, and for the price are decent quality. But for a tub/shower, think about support down the line.
The debate about quality in the box stores has been beat to death. On faucets, you will not prove by me the quality is seconds. It will be a slightly different version, with 50/50 pop up, etc.
Delta..Moen....AmStd.....we have all installed plenty of those. We have all REPAIRED plenty of all the brands mentioned.
I would say buy what you like the looks of.
As far as plastic......you are seeing and will continue to see a lot more of that, because of the low lead laws.
